The International SEPT Program, Leipzig University

The International SEPT Program (Small and medium-sized Enterprises, Promotion and Training) is a research and training program at Leipzig University dedicated to providing theoretical insight as well as practical experience in the management and promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) worldwide. As an international program, SEPT belongs to the Institute of African Studies in the Faculty of History, Arts and Oriental Studies as well as the Institute of Service and Relationship Management of the Faculty of Economics and Management Science of Leipzig University. SEPT with its 30 staff members is a highly internationalized supplier of training programs for postgraduate students, junior experts, officials, institutional decision makers and firm executives with more than 20 years of experience in educating professionals on SME-related topics.

ENET’COM

The ENET'Com (Ecole Nationale d'Electronique et des Télécommunications de Sfax) is an institution of higher education and scientific research with the mission to qualify engineers and provide Bachelors, Masters and PhDs. It was created in 2002 under the name ISECS (Higher Institute of Electronics and Communication of Sfax) for the training of Senior Technicians. It changed the name in 2014 to become the National School of Electronics and Telecommunications of Sfax (ENET'Com). It hosts an average of 300 new students per year distributed among the following specialties: Electronic Communication Systems, Industrial Computing, Telecommunications and Data Engineering and Decision Systems. ENET’COM is embedded in a network of higher education institutions under the umbrella provided by Sfax University.

Main Contribution in VOITURE:

  • Delegating distinguished lectures to participate in Training of Trainers Programs
  • Organising Summer School in Tunisia
  • Implementing Lean Six Sigma in study modules of all engineering students
  • Implementing non-degree training in Innovation and Industrial Change Management

DRÄXLMAIER Group

The Dräxlmaier Group has over 60 locations in over 20 countries worldwide and is always in close distance to the automobile manufacturer and customers. This ensures that each individual product is function-tested and arrives exactly on time at our customer's assembly line. This expertise has made them one of the top 100 automobile suppliers for years. The headquarter is located in Vilsbiburg, Bavaria, with a central R&D center. Further development and production sites are located in Europe, North America, Africa (Tunisia since 1974) and Asia. In Tunisia, Dräxlmaier employs more than 6.000 staff and plan to increase this number to 8.000 in the following years.

Main Contribution in VOITURE:

  • Providing and Funding a mutual Lean Six Sigma Training for ENET’Com and SEPT staff
  • Nominating 8 Junior Engineers and financing all of their related costs in all project activities
  • Provide internship for ENET’Com students in Germany and Tunisia
